Highway 14 Wrongful Death Settlement
PARRIS obtained a $1,934,546 Million car accident wrongful death settlement for the family of a man who was killed in a car accident on highway 14.
The man was driving on highway 14 when he came to a stop on the freeway due to a felony stop being conducted ahead of him by the LA County Sheriff’s department. All three northbound lanes on the highway were at a complete stop when the defendant, traveling in his car at a high rate of speed, slammed into the victim’s car from behind.
The victim died while being transported to Antelope Valley Hospital, leaving behind his wife and three adult children.
The defendant claimed he had no knowledge of the collision and was adjudicated incompetent to stand trial due to Alzheimer’s.
