Ellery Gordon

Ellery Gordon is a member of the firm’s personal injury litigation team.

Ellery graduated cum laude from Pepperdine Law School with a certificate from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.  He was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society in 2016 for his academic achievements.  While in law school, Ellery competed with law students from across the country on the Pepperdine Trial Team. He also served as an Associate Editor for the Pepperdine Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship and the Law, which selected his article for publication in 2018.

During his time with PARRIS, Ellery has litigated numerous personal injury cases resulting in six- and seven-figure settlements.  In early 2018, he obtained a 1.5 million dollar settlement in mediation for his clients involved in an auto versus garbage truck collision.  In mid-2018, Ellery helped recover 1.6 million dollars in a wrongful death matter involving a high-speed collision on the 14 freeway in Lancaster, California.  His work in a slip and fall case resulted in a $425,000.00 settlement before trial.

In late 2018, Ellery tried the landmark case of Pico Neighborhood Association, et al. v. City of Santa Monica alongside Rex Parris.  The Plaintiffs alleged that the City of Santa Monica’s at-large voting system negatively impacted the voting rights of Latino residents for over 60 years.  After a six week bench trial, Judge Yvette Palazuelos ruled that Santa Monica’s at-large voting system violated the California Voting Rights Act and intentionally discriminated against minorities in violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the California constitution.  Ellery was instrumental in proving that Santa Monica’s at-large elections were intentionally designed to suppress the minority vote, preventing Latino residents from electing the candidates of their choice to the City Council.

Ellery relentlessly and zealously fights for his clients’ rights.  He is committed to seeking justice, holding Defendants accountable, and achieving the best possible results.
